TTR Review
The Sole F85 Treadmill, has all the features, performance and price tag to top the list of all fold up treadmills. There’s really not much more you could ask for in a treadmill. Whether you’re an avid runner, slow jogger or light walker the Sole F85 is your treadmill.
There’s a reason why the Sole F85 Treadmill was awarded the “Best Buy” treadmill. It only takes a minute of running on the Sole F85 to realize how well constructed the treadmill is, and Sole Fitness makes sure they stand by their products. Offering lifetime warranties on both the heavy duty 3.5 HP motor and solid frame.
We had a test runner hop on to see what the Sole F85 could really do. We wanted to see how it would hold up with a long pace runner. The Sole F85 Treadmill sports a powerful 3.5 CHP motor (continuous duty horsepower is an important factor when buying a treadmill.) with a long running belt that roll on 2-3/4″ rollers. The size of the belt is nice in width and length (20″x60″) which allows for plenty of room to run with long strides. Also, with each stride you could see how nice the running deck was to run on. The running deck size is 33″x80″ and provides a nice feel with the “Cushion Flex Shock Absorption Whisper Deck.”
We moved the inclined up and down, adjusted speeds, and let the test runner go to town. We noticed how the instant speed and incline controls made it so easy for the test runner to adjust. The console of the Sole F85 was packed with extra features that were easy to use and understand. The F85 has adjustable fans that can cool you off during your workout. They also have built-in dash speakers that can play you iPod, which also plugs into the F85 console.

Let’s also not forget the folding functionality of the Sole F85. We were amazed at the ease of the folding mechanism. It’s as simple as kicking the running deck up where it automatically locks into place. Then when you want to bring it back down, you simply press the release lever and let it slide down by itself. The compressing folding mechanism slowly lowers the running deck into the non-folded position.
TTR Recommendation
The Sole F85 Treadmill has been awarded the “Best Buy” treadmill and for good reason. For a low price of $1,999 for the Sole F85 Treadmill, it’s hard to imagine that Sole can sell this at such a low price. This treadmill has all the bells & whistles of a majority of the high-end treadmills. Overall, the Sole F85 is a high end treadmill with a low end price tag. Here at TTR we highly recommend you seriously consider the Sole F85 as the treadmill of your choice. With the excellent brand recognition and the lifetime warranty, it will most likely be the last treadmill you’ll ever buy.
